ORCHESTRAL MUSICIAN VACANCIES

Armenian State Symphony Orchestra is currently looking for orchestral musicians, who share love and dedication toward music and art. The orchestra offers a permanent job to young musicians and contributes to creating new job positions and opportunities for them. Violin Tuttist - 3 Positions (1st Violin Tuttist - 1 Position, 2nd Violin Tuttist - 2 Positions)

Cello Tuttist - 1 Position

Double Bass Tuttist - 1 Position

Flute Tuttist - 1 Position

Principal Oboe - 1 Position

Oboe Tuttist – 1 Position

Clarinet Tuttist - 2 Positions

Trumpet Tuttist - 1 Position

Trombone Tuttist - 1 Position

Preferred criteria and required qualifications:

  • The candidates should be at least 18 years old at the date of the audition,

  • University degree in music performance or conservatory diploma or equivalent,

  • Experienced in orchestral playing,

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills,

  • Determined to succeed and eager to rehearse and practice,

  • Welcomed to be a great team player.

Cello

  1. One composition for cello solo or accompanied with piano not more than 10 minutes at candidate’s choice*.

  2. Sight Reading provided at an audition place.


Double Bass

  1. One composition for double bass solo or accompanied with piano not more than 10 minutes at candidate’s choice*.

  2. Sight Reading provided at an audition place.


Flute

  1. One composition for flute solo or accompanied with piano not more than 10 minutes at candidate’s choice*.

APPLICATION FORM MAY BE DOWNLOADED HERE:

DEADLINE FOR THE APPLICATION: 15 JULY 2019 inclusive.

All the candidates will be informed via e-mail about their audition day and time not later than 18 July at 18:00.

After Audition, the candidates will be interviewed by the Managing Board of the orchestra. The interview will take place on 22 July at 17:00.

The results of the audition will be announced on the orchestra website on 24 July at 18:00.
